Jubilation Ceramics

The Midwest prairie landscape, flora and fauna inspire the form and surface of my ceramic practice. I enjoy making work that people will use in their everyday life to elevate simple experiences like drinking coffee, eating oatmeal and displaying flowers. My work is thrown and altered or hand built. Surfaces are enhanced with oxide washes, slips, engobes and glazes that I formulate myself and are fired in my electric kiln to 2240 degrees so they are food safe and dishwasher safe for the most part.
